Traffic Logistics acquires Australia’s first MBT-1

by | Jun 5, 2020

Traffic Logistics is an Australian owned and operated traffic management company servicing NSW since 2006. With depots servicing Sydney, Newcastle and the Illawarra and over 550 staff in their field team, Traffic Logistics is the preferred supplier to Government Agencies, Local Councils and many tier one national and multinational organisations.

The company is governed by the business philosophy of “finding a better and safer way”. With this common attitude across operations teams and management, Traffic Logistics have been able to invest in new innovations which will protect their employees, the travelling public and save lives in the process.

Given this commitment to the industry and the safety of everyone on our roads, Traffic Logistics has announced that it is the first company in Australia to purchase and get approved the MBT-1 Barrier for use in Australia.

The MBT-1 is a mobile traffic barrier system used for work zone safety, emergency response and incident management. The mobility of the MBT-1 allows for rapid work zone setup/removal and enables managers to reduce project duration, schedule around peak traffic hours, and minimise roadway congestion.

Peter Nicholls, Group Manager at Traffic Logistics stated that “the purchase of the MBT-1 is an investment in the safety of our motorway clients, our traffic control crews and the travelling public and is a game-changer for Motorway operators.”

Traffic Logistics is committed to driving not only their business but the industry forward in creating safer roads for the community. They are industry leaders and continuously educate and advocate for innovative processes and technologies to propel the industry forward.
